Day 1 : Arrive Milan
Welcome to your tour of Italy. Milan is undoubtedly one of
Europe's most charming and one of Italy's most vibrant cities. The most famous
designers on the globe have their headquarters here and the shopping streets of
Milan attract the bold and the beautiful from every corner of the earth. But
it's not all fashion and haute couture, Milan has all the style and cultural
pedigree you'd expect of an Italian city, and its streets are lined with trees
and art treasures. After clearing customs and immigrations transfer on your own
to the hotel. Rest of the day is free to relax in the comfort and luxury of
your room. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 2 : Milan - Venice
Today takes you on to Venice, Venice is an ever-changing,
living canvas. No other place has such a mutable geography where you can
discover delightfully peaceful piazzas and deserted canals seemingly unmarked
on any map. No two wanderings through its back alleys are ever the same, and
even people who have lived here for decades can still be surprised by a chance
turning. After breakfast transfer to the station on your own for your train to
Venice. Arrive Venice, transfer on your own to the hotel. Later in the evening
you have the option of the 'Gondola Serenade' tour where you will join a
flotilla of gondolas gathered around a barge containing musicians and singers
to float along the fascinating Grand Canal, glittering in the reflection of the
illuminated facades of the sumptuous 'Palazzos'. Evening return back to the hotel.
Overnight at the hotel.
Day 3 : Venice
Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today you enjoy the
'Half Day tour of Murano, Burano and Torcello'. After sailing past the island
of San Giorgio
Maggiore, the Public Gardens, the tip of Sant'Elena and the
famous Lido beach resort, the boat arrives in Murano, known throughout the
world for its glass manufacturing industry. Here we stop for around 40 minutes
to visit to one of the factories. The second stop is at the picturesque island
of Burano, famous not only for its lace but also for the fishermen's houses
painted in bright colours. The stop will last about 30 minutes. Then after a
short cruise, we reach Torcello, the earliest centre of civilization in the
estuary. Only the Cathedral with its magnificent mosaics and the church of
Santa Fosca remain as testimony of its former glory. The stop will be for about
30 minutes then we return to St.Mark's Square. Later in the day return back to
the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 : Venice – Florence
Today takes you on to Florence. Florence is known as the
city of art. Even the most ordinary street or building is a work of art in
itself and demonstrates the simple classical beauty that defined the
Renaissance. After buffet breakfast, transfer on your own to the station for
your onward journey to Florence, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Today you
enjoy the Florence Panoramic Tour Leaving Piazza Stazione, the coach goes via
della Scala up to Santa Maria Novella; crossing the Arno river we will reach
Porta San Frediano and Porta Romana. Then up to Piazzale Michelangelo where we
will enjoy a breathtaking overview of the town. The tour continues towards
Prati di Belvedere and the beautiful church of San Miniato al Monte. We then
reach Santo Spirito area passing nearby Ponte Vecchio. Crossing the river, we
will see Ognissanti church before arriving in the popular via Tornabuoni where
famous brand shops are located. The historical heart of Florence is waiting for
you: the duomo, the Baptistery and the wonderful Giotto's bell tower. We will
proceed to the church of San Marco and Santa Annunziata. Passing by Porta la
Croce, we will proceed to Fiesole with the Cathedral of San Romolo. After, head
back to Piazza della Stazione, passing by the Cemetery of English soldiers, the
Synagogue and the Santa Croce church. Later in the day you retun back to the
hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : Florence - Rome
Today takes you on to Rome, the Capital of the Roman Empire,
the Papal States and Italy, Rome truly is the "Eternal City". One of
the world's most elegant capitals the layers of history and the city's sheer
excess of beauty can prove overwhelming to the unsuspecting visitor. After
buffet breakfast, transfer on your own to the station for your onward journey
to Rome, on arrival transfer to the hotel. Later in the afternoon you can enjoy
an optional tour to the 'Vatican'. The Vatican is one of the most interesting
and breathtakingly beautiful sites in the world, but it can be a bit
overwhelming to the average visitor. The guide will take you to some of its
major attractions, as well as to some lesser known spots, and give you a broad
base for understanding the history, architecture, and politics of the Vatican.
( Entrance to Vatican Museum has to be paid on the spot) . Later in the evening
return to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 6 : Rome
Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today enjoy the 'Rome
Open Tour' this tour offers you the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful hop on -
hop off experience, with an itinerary including 9 stops at the most famous
sites in Rome. Get off the bus at Ponte S. Angelo stop, and you can have the
chance to discover Rome by boat. Purchase an on-the-spot boat ticket at a
discounted price if you show your bus ticket. Later in the evening return back
to the hotel. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 7 : Depart Rome
Enjoy buffet breakfast at the hotel. Its time to return home
with beautiful memories of your memorable holiday. Check out of the hotel and
transfer by seat in coach transfer to the airport for your flight back home. |
